How to download your Barclays statement as a PDF
- Log in to Barclays Online Banking or the Barclays app.
- Select the account and open its statements (look for Statements or Statements and documents). Menu names differ between the app and the website.
- Choose the statement period and download or save the PDF.

What you get
Barclays current account statements typically list Date, Description, Money out, Money in and Balance, often printing the date only on the first transaction of each day. The converter maps Money out to Debit and Money in to Credit by the column headings, reads £ amounts with comma thousands, and fills the date down to every transaction of that day. Dates such as 12 Sep are kept as printed in the free CSV; the Pro QuickBooks, Xero and OFX exports turn them into full day-first dates, taking the year from the statement. Barclaycard statements, which have no running balance, come out as Date, Description and Amount with the sign as printed.
Barclays can also export recent transactions from online banking. Use that when it covers what you need. The converter is for the PDFs: past statements, or ones you were sent for a mortgage or accounts.
How it works, and what it can't do
OfflineStatement is a general reader for text-based PDF statements: it finds the transaction table by its column headings and turns each dated row into a spreadsheet row. It was not built with or tested by Barclays, and statement layouts change, so check the result against the PDF. Where the statement prints a running balance, every row is checked against it and rows that don't add up are highlighted. Scanned or photographed statements (images, not text) are not supported. Password-protected PDFs work: you type the password and it stays on your device.
Open the CSV in Excel, Google Sheets or QuickBooks
Excel: double-click the CSV, or use Data > From Text/CSV. Google Sheets: File > Import > Upload, then choose the CSV. QuickBooks Online: the bank-upload CSV needs Date, Description and Amount; Pro exports exactly that format (see PDF to QuickBooks), or you can trim the free CSV to those columns.

Is this made by Barclays?
No. OfflineStatement is an independent tool and not affiliated with or endorsed by Barclays Bank UK PLC or Barclays PLC.
Some rows have no date on my statement. Is that a problem?
No. When a statement prints the date once per day, each following row takes the date printed above it.
Is my statement uploaded?
No. The PDF is read by code running in your browser. There is no server that receives your file, and you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
