How to download your Chase statement as a PDF
- Sign in at chase.com or in the Chase Mobile app.
- Open the account, then find Statements & documents (on the website it is also in the main menu under your profile/accounts).
- Pick the month and choose Download to save the PDF. Menu names change from time to time; the statement itself is the monthly PDF, not the activity export.
Then drop the PDF in the box above, or click it to choose the file.
What you get
Chase checking statements usually list transactions in a table with a date (month and day only), a description and an amount, often with a running balance. The converter keeps each amount with the sign printed on the statement (money out negative) and adds a Balance column when one is printed. The free CSV keeps dates as printed; the Pro QuickBooks, Xero and OFX exports add the year, read from the statement. Credit card statements, which have no running balance, come out as Date, Description, Amount.
Chase online banking can also export recent account activity as a CSV. If that covers the dates you need, use it. This page is for when all you have is the PDF, such as older months or statements someone sent you.
How it works, and what it can't do
OfflineStatement is a general reader for text-based PDF statements: it finds the transaction table by its column headings and turns each dated row into a spreadsheet row. It was not built with or tested by Chase, and statement layouts change, so check the result against the PDF. Where the statement prints a running balance, every row is checked against it and rows that don't add up are highlighted. Scanned or photographed statements (images, not text) are not supported. Password-protected PDFs work: you type the password and it stays on your device.
Open the CSV in Excel, Google Sheets or QuickBooks
Excel: double-click the CSV, or use Data > From Text/CSV. Google Sheets: File > Import > Upload, then choose the CSV. QuickBooks Online: the bank-upload CSV needs Date, Description and Amount; Pro exports exactly that format (see PDF to QuickBooks), or you can trim the free CSV to those columns.

Is this an official Chase tool?
No. OfflineStatement is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by JPMorgan Chase.
Why is the year missing from Chase dates?
Chase prints dates like 03/14. The free CSV keeps them that way; the Pro QuickBooks, Xero and OFX exports read the year from the statement and add it to every date, including December to January rollovers.
Is my statement uploaded?
No. The PDF is read by code running in your browser. There is no server that receives your file, and you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
